As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Mobile Utilityin Delray Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and maintain accurate visitor and access‑related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Operate access‑control equipment, communicate professionally with site personnel and visitors, and report unusual conditions or policy violations in accordance with post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, corrections and/or a college degree in criminal justice.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Possess a state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
