Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Screening Support in Delray Beach, Florida. This part‑time role offers flexible, dependable hours with anchor shifts and the option to pick up additional shifts via our scheduling platform.

You will screen visitors, enforce access‑control policies, respond to incidents, and provide courteous customer service to employees and the public while maintaining a safe site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security‑related experience, or a college degree.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Guard card required.
• Background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures and access‑control policies.
• Screen individuals and belongings using screening equipment; identify prohibited items or irregularities.
• Verify identification and authorization for entry into controlled areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and document observations and actions.
• Conduct regular and random patrols to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.

Security Officer Enhanced Screening Support in Delray Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $19.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 11:00 AM - 07:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site‑specific screening procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen individuals and permitted belongings using assigned screening equipment and procedures; identify prohibited items or irregularities and notify appropriate personnel.
• Verify identification, credentials, and authorization for entry into controlled areas in accordance with established government facility procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; document observations and actions according to site requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess 3+ years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security‑relatedexperience or a college degree.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
