Allied Universal in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide professional security services at a designated site. This position offers flexible, reliable hours and opportunities to increment earnings through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program.

As an armed security officer, you will perform patrols, monitor access, respond to incidents, and uphold site policies. Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license, 21+ years old, and an armed guard card

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree.
• Armed guard card or license.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Background investigation will be conducted.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Industry-specific security training participation.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and the public at a government location while following security procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents and disturbances in a calm, professional manner; notify appropriate personnel or public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization, and document visitor activity and incidents.
• Maintain firearms qualifications and follow Allied Universal policies and site procedures for armed posts.

As a Security Officer Armed Part Time Mobile Transit in West Palm Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate:

$21.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Fri 12:45 PM - 11:15 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public at a government location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify authorization as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain required firearms qualifications and follow all applicable laws, licensing requirements, Allied Universal policies, and site‑specific procedures for armed posts.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Possess three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security‑related experience or a college degree.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
