Qualifications

• 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver's license required.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Guard card required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed role.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required.
• Drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements may be needed prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government facility by carrying out access-control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry/exit points and verify credentials; maintain visitor logs.
• Respond to incidents and alert site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Monitor security systems and document incidents and access events.
• Conduct regular patrols of entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter.

Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Access Patrol in Boynton Beach, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 06:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and vendors at a government facility by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency personnel as needed.
• Monitor security-related systems and communications, report unusual activity or policy violations, and complete accurate incident and access-control documentation.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or 7 years security-related experience or a college degree.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
