Allied Universal in Paramus, NJ is seeking a part-time Security Officer Patrol Driver Tablet Reporting to protect shoppers, tenants and staff. You will perform walking and vehicle patrols, monitor entrances, and report incidents using tablet-based tools.

The role emphasizes customer service, situational awareness and following site procedures. The schedule includes night shifts with early morning hours; pay rate is $19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Background checks and drug screen may be required by law.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic retail and mall location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors, tenants, and staff. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal policy. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the retail center, including common areas, parking facilities, exterior walkways, and perimeter locations, to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, medical events, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points, observe activity within assigned areas, and assist with directing visitors, supporting a welcoming environment for the public.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
