Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer in East Rutherford, NJ. You will provide customer service, patrol retail spaces, monitor entrances, and respond to security concerns with a professional demeanor.

The role emphasizes a visible security presence, reporting, and assisting guests and staff while upholding the company’s values of teamwork and integrity.

Competenze

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, will undergo a background investigation.
• Criminal histories reviewed in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a premier retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment for guests, employees, and vendors while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $19.92 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM
• Thur: 11:00 AM - 07:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail sales areas, stockrooms, entrances, exits, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and visitor activity for unusual conditions, reporting concerns and completing required documentation.
• Support a welcoming luxury retail environment through professional communication, appearance, and interaction with clients, employees, and law enforcement and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
