Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in New York, NY. You will provide front-desk security, greet visitors, verify IDs, and maintain records while delivering excellent customer service in a real estate lobby setting.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Minimum of one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort with using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• 18+ years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Criminal history considered in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply prior to employment.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and clients at the front desk of a commercial real estate location.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor and vendor records.
• Monitor lobby activity, building access points, cameras, alarms, and security systems; report unusual conditions.
• Respond calmly and professionally to incidents, service requests, and emergencies per established procedures.
• Maintain a professional front-desk presence; answer phones and communicate with building management and Allied Universal leadership.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Lobby Credential Coordinator in New York, NY, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $18.30 -$19.30 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Sat: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or clients at the front desk of a commercial real estate location while carrying out site‑specific procedures and security‑related protocols.
• Greet visitors, verify identification and access authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor and vendor records.
• Monitor lobby activity, building access points, cameras, alarms, and/or other security‑related systems, reporting unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Maintain a professional front‑desk presence, answer phones, provide directions, and communicate relevant information to building management and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security‑related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Have access control and badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
