Pay rate is $15.00 per hour, with a Saturday shift from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM. A six-month anchor shift is required, with potential to scale hours up to 40 per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements include a state/city license (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen will be conducted as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local rules.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location and its areas.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and coordinate with site contacts or emergency services.
• Monitor activity and report suspicious or policy-related concerns.
• Complete incident reports and patrol logs accurately and timely.

As a Security Officer Part Time Licensed Patrol in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $15.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 03:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to shoppers, associates, and visitors by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter areas, as assigned.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Monitor activity at assigned areas and report suspicious, unusual, or policy‑related concerns according to site procedures to help deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Complete required incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• A state, county, or city‑issued security‑related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
