Job summary

Allied Universal in Garner, NC is seeking a Part Time Security Officer focused on incident documentation. You will monitor and patrol technology environments, support access control, and provide excellent service to employees and visitors.

Schedule is Wed/Thu/Fri 3:00 PM–11:00 PM. You will document incidents and observations, respond calmly to situations, and escalate as needed while coordinating with site leadership.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience in security or related field.
• Ability to document incidents clearly and accurately.
• Ability to respond calmly and solve problems during incidents.
• Familiarity with access control procedures and security systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems, reporting irregularities or maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately while communicating with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Pay Rate: $18.36 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of technology-focused facilities, business areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access control points, visitor activity, and security-related systems, reporting irregularities or maintenance concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately while communicating with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
