Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer Patrol Deterrence in New York, NY. You will provide customer service, monitor and patrol assigned areas, and deter security incidents while reporting observations to leadership.

The role requires a NYS Security Guard License, at least 1 year of security experience, and compliance with background checks and drug testing where allowed. This is a part-time, on-site position with a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Criminal histories considered in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local regulations.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, report observations, and provide professional customer service and communication to visitors and staff. Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and partner agencies by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government human services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor activity, and support authorized entry procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately; communicate relevant information to site leadership, emergency responders, and Allied Universal management as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Possess at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
