Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer for a government services location in New York, NY. The role focuses on customer service, access control, and visible patrols to deter incidents and ensure a welcoming environment.

You will work a night shift with set hours, carry out site procedures, and respond to incidents professionally while representing Allied Universal’s values of integrity and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Must have valid New York State Security Guard License.
• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Age minimum 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law and company policy.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• State/local licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, residents, and staff at a government social services location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, entry points, common spaces, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and patrol documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence and assist with de-escalation, directions, and general information while treating all individuals with dignity and respect.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Part Time Unarmed Patrol Security Awareness in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
