Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer for Hospital Access in Mount Pleasant, SC. You will patrol healthcare facilities, monitor entrances, and provide excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while maintaining a welcoming environment.

Minimum requirements include at least 2 years of security-related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to meet hospital vaccine requirements.

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a calm, professional manner following protocols.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities and parking areas to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts, report issues to site leadership.
• Prepare clear incident reports and communicate with supervision and site contacts.

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $17.85 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Thur: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facilities, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
