Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Hospital Access in West Columbia, SC. You will safeguard clients and assist with access-control procedures in a healthcare setting, using our Shift-claim platform to build a flexible schedule.

As a Part-Time Security Officer, you will coordinate communications, document incidents, and help maintain an organized environment while delivering courteous service to staff, patients, and visitors.

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and coordinate incoming calls, alarms, radio traffic, and service requests; dispatch appropriate personnel in a timely manner according to established procedures.
• Maintain accurate logs and records of incidents, calls for service, visitor activity, and other security-related events.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the facility perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and helping to deter unauthorized activity.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• Meet DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
