Qualifications

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted as required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and maintaining visitor-entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations following site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control activity and security-related concerns.

What You'll Do

• Monitor and control access to the chemical and petrochemical location by verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and maintaining visitor-entry records.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Communicate professionally with employees, contractors, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding access-control activity and security-related concerns.

Minimum Requirements

• At least six months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
