Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Front Lobby Patrol to support a commercial real estate location in San Diego, CA. You will welcome visitors, verify access, and maintain security protocols while delivering excellent customer service to tenants and staff.

As a Front Desk Officer, you will monitor lobby activity, operate access systems, and respond to incidents with professionalism. This role offers flexible part-time shifts and opportunities to grow within a national security team.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of security-related experience required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Background check may be required.
• Minimum age: 18 (unarmed) / 21+ (armed).

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff at a commercial real estate location while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify access authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and access logs.
• Monitor lobby activity, access control systems, cameras, and communication equipment, reporting unusual activity or facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site-specific emergency response procedures.
• Assist tenants and visitors with directions, building information, and other front-desk requests while maintaining a professional presence.

What You’ll Do

Minimum Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.


• A guard card or license is preferred.


• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.


• Loss prevention experience is preferred.


• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
