Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Front Desk Security Officer at Wayne, NJ. You will greet visitors, control access, and support a safe, healthcare-focused environment while delivering professional service.

This role offers flexible weekend hours, on-site work, and opportunities to advance through our Claim a Shift platform; prior security or customer service experience is preferred, with standard background checks and drug screening.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Guard card or license is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a healthcare location.
• Serve as the primary front-desk point of contact, greeting visitors, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and directing individuals to appropriate departments or personnel.
• Monitor entry activity, maintain visitor logs and/or access records, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner in accordance with established procedures.
• Support a professional and welcoming healthcare environment by providing clear information, communicating respectfully, and assisting with security-related questions or concerns.

• Sat 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
• Sun 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
