Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced for Lakewood, NJ. The role offers flexible hours, reliable fixed shifts, and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts through our platform to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $17.50 per hour. The position includes a six-month anchor shift commitment and potential path to full-time schedules up to 40 hours per week. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check as per federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screening as permitted by law.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Visitor Welcome in Lakewood, NJ, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeFri01:00 PM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and front desk policies in a healthcare location.
• Monitor visitor access, verify identification as required, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate entry records in accordance with site procedures.
• Answer and route incoming calls, provide directions and general information, and communicate professionally with patients, visitors, and staff.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor front desk activity and report unusual activity, policy concerns, and maintenance issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
