Allied Universal in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a financial institution. This role offers reliable, fixed anchor shifts with opportunities to pick up extra shifts via the scheduling platform, helping you earn more while gaining hands-on security experience.

You will provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees, perform security procedures, monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and maintain daily activity reports.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.
• Licensing requirements may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of banking areas, entrances, parking facilities, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor and employee activity, following site procedures for reporting suspicious behavior, facility issues, and policy violations.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and communicate security-related observations, incidents, and operational concerns to appropriate personnel.

As a Security Officer Part Time Financial Institution in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 08:45 AM - 05:30 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least one year of security‑related experience is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid are preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
