Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access, and maintain logs.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security concerns.

Job Description

Life doesn't always follow a fixed schedule. That's why we created the Security Officer - Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Credential Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time

Wed 10:00 AM - 06:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of building interiors, exterior areas, parking facilities, common areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or maintenance concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify visitor and contractor access as directed, and maintain accurate activity, incident, and/or visitor logs.
• Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, visitors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related concerns and site conditions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
