Allied Universal in New York, NY is seeking a Part-Time Unarmed Security Officer to monitor a financial institution, deter incidents, and provide courteous service to employees, visitors, and clients.

Minimum requirements include at least 1 year of security experience and a high school diploma; you must be at least 18; background check and drug screening are required. Schedule: Mon & Tue 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; pay rate $20.95–$21.95 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established reporting channels.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Observe and report unusual activity, facility concerns, and policy violations while maintaining a professional presence and supporting a welcoming environment.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
