Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer at our Cincinnati, OH site. You will greet visitors, monitor access, and enforce site procedures at a food and beverage production location. A strong emphasis on customer service and safety will guide daily activities.

Position offers flexible daytime shifts with a focus on reliable, professional presence and adherence to security protocols. Prior security or front desk experience is preferred, with CPR and licensing as advantageous

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Guard card or license preferred; CPR certification preferred; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees and visitors at the front desk while following site policies.
• Manage visitor and contractor check-in; verify IDs and issue credentials.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security systems; report incidents.
• Receive deliveries and calls, maintaining professional communication and entry requirements.
• Respond calmly to incidents, notify appropriate personnel, and file required reports.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers at the front desk of a food and beverage production location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Manage visitor and contractor check-in processes, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials as directed, and maintain accurate access records.
• Monitor access points, cameras, alarms, and other security-related systems from a stationary front-desk post; report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility issues according to site procedures.
• Receive and direct deliveries, calls, and visitors while maintaining professional communication and supporting established food facility entry requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notify appropriate personnel, and complete required reports and documentation.

Minimum Requirements:

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
