Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for Entrance Access in Lancaster, SC. You will monitor entrances, assist patients and staff, and maintain a visible security presence in a healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in a healthcare setting, following established entry, identification, and reporting procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related emergencies, disturbances, and requests for assistance.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital facilities, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual conditions or activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and interactions accurately, and communicate relevant information to appropriate hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

What You'll Do:
