Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Overnight at a medical facility in Lancaster, SC. You will provide customer service to patients, visitors and staff, conduct patrols, monitor entrances and assist with access control while maintaining a safe, welcoming environment.

This full-time role offers a schedule of overnights Sunday through Saturday, with compensation of $16.50 per hour plus benefits. The ideal candidate is at least 18 years old, with a high school diploma and the ability to

Qualifications

• Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Criminal histories considered as per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to help identify and report unusual activity or hazards.
• Assist with access control, visitor management, and directions while supporting a welcoming environment for patients and visitors.
• Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to hospital personnel and Allied Universal leadership.
