Job summary

Allied Universal® is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced in Topton, PA to provide reliable access control, customer service, and safety at an industrial site.

The role features fixed anchor shifts on weekends with the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, offering flexible hours and earning opportunities. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures and site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and notify leadership or responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production areas, parking, and grounds to deter unauthorized activity.
• Enforce visitor, contractor, and vehicle access requirements per Allied Universal procedures.

As a Security Guard Enhanced Part Time Driver Entry Verification in Topton, PA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

1. Security Experience:
   • Candidates must possess a minimum of 6 months of relevant security experience (C112). This experience should demonstrate the ability to handle security-related tasks and responsibilities effectively.
2. Valid Driver's License:
   • All candidates must hold a valid Australian driver’s license in accordance with the AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123). This is crucial for roles that require travel or transportation as part of job duties.
3. Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet:
   • Candidates should be proficient in using computers or tablets (B204). Familiarity with basic software applications and the ability to navigate digital platforms is essential for effective job performance.
4. Customer Service Experience:
   • A background in customer service (B219) is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage positively with clients and customers.

Job Schedule:

• Sat 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate access-related logs and records.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access issues, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of facility access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Maintain a professional presence while enforcing visitor, contractor, and vehicle access requirements in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
