Allied Universal in Georgetown, DE is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Issuance to provide reliable access control and customer service at a food and beverage production site. Ideal candidates have a valid driver’s license, at least 6 months of security experience, and a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers at a food and beverage site.
• Monitor entry/exit points, verify credentials, log visitors, and direct guests per site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and effectively.
• Deter unauthorized entry by observing access points and reporting suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, parking areas, and perimeters.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Driver Badge Issuance in Georgetown, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorized access, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct guests according to site procedures.
• Respond to access‑related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Help to deter unauthorized entry by observing access points, challenging individuals in accordance with site procedures, and reporting suspicious activity.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, parking areas, perimeter locations, and other assigned areas. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
