Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Georgetown, DE site. This flexible, dependable role offers fixed anchor shifts with the option to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings, up to 40 hours per week.

You will provide customer service, enforce access-control policies, monitor entry points, and respond to incidents in a food production setting. Prior security experience and a valid driver's license are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Valid driver’s license in the job state.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet; familiarity with access-control systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Guard Card preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a food production location.
• Monitor entry/exit points and manage visitor and contractor access.
• Respond to access-control alarms and incidents; escalate as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas including entrances, parking and perimeter.
• Assist with emergency response activities and report unusual conditions.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Control Driver in Georgetown, DE, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $20.34 / Hour

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-control policies at a food production location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor access, and maintain accurate access logs in accordance with site requirements.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of designated areas, including facility entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Assist with emergency response activities, monitor incoming and outgoing deliveries, and report unusual conditions or policy violations to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
