Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Dispatch Coordinator in Norfolk, VA. You will support security operations by coordinating communications, monitoring systems, and directing responses to incidents, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

This role emphasizes shift flexibility, documentation, and collaboration with site personnel to maintain safe and secure premises across tech/media/telecom locations.

Qualifications

• Guard Card/License preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by federal, state, and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required before employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology, media, and telecommunications location.
• Monitor communication systems, receive calls for service, document incidents, and dispatch appropriate personnel to routine, urgent, and emergency situations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to site personnel, management, and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Maintain accurate logs, reports, visitor-related information, and dispatch records in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Coordinate regular and random patrol activity around the business and perimeter, and report observed concerns or unusual activity to appropriate personnel.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
