Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.

• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare setting.


• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.


• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.


• Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, verifying visitor authorization as required, and reporting suspicious activity or policy violations to appropriate personnel.


• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and promptly, and communicate relevant information to supervisors and hospital representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.


• Access control and badge experience is preferred.


• X-ray screening experience is preferred.


• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.


• CPR certification is preferred.


• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
