Qualifications

Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.12 - $23.12 / Hour

Job Schedule: Sat 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM, Sun 05:00 PM - 01:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to commuters, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, identification, permits, and authorization for individuals entering restricted areas, helping to deter unauthorized entry.
• Maintain accurate access logs and communicate visitor, contractor, delivery, and access-related activity to appropriate site personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, public areas, restricted areas, and the surrounding perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a state, county, or city-issued license for security-related work is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
