Job summary

Allied Universal in Rye, NY is seeking a Part-Time Access Credential Services Security Officer to help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing visitor access and responding to security concerns.

You will perform site-specific access-control, monitor entrances, complete logs and reports, and provide excellent customer service to residents, staff, and contractors while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background checks and drug screen may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify authorized access per procedures; maintain logs.
• Respond to incidents and alarms calmly, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, common areas, parking, and perimeter locations.
• Complete incident reports, access logs, and other required documentation.

What You'll Do

• Provide exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and contractors while carrying out site‑specific access‑control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity; verify authorized access in accordance with residential community procedures; and maintain accurate visitor and contractor records.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of residential buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and potential security‑related concerns.
• Communicate clearly with residents, staff, and Allied Universal leadership, and complete required incident reports, access logs, and other documentation.

Minimum Requirements

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
