Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Security Officer Part Time Credential Review in Lakeland, FL. You will monitor access, provide customer service, and deter security incidents while supporting a welcoming environment.

The position offers a part-time schedule with shifts including Thur 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM, and Sat 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM, with the opportunity to explore new roles via the Claim a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by enforcing site-specific security procedures and access-control policies.
• Monitor and control access to the location by verifying credentials and maintaining logs.
• Screen vehicles, deliveries, and personnel per site requirements and escalate discrepancies.
• Respond to incidents calmly and notify site contacts and leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points and exterior areas to identify unusual activity and support policy compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the food and beverage production location by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and following entry and exit procedures.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with site requirements, escalating discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, exterior areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support compliance with site policies.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
