Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer - Enhanced Part Time for Lakeland, FL. This role offers flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts to increase earnings.

Pay rate is $14.00 per hour. The position requires at least 1 year of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and background/drug screening as applicable. A guard card/licence is preferred.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories in a manner consistent with laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, vendors, and drivers at a food and beverage production location while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization and credentials, maintain visitor and delivery logs, and direct authorized personnel to entry locations.
• Control entry and exit of vehicles, deliveries, and personnel in accordance with facility procedures, deterring unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations; document observations and communicate concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, entrances, delivery areas, parking areas, and perimeter; report hazards and policy violations.

Tue 10:30 PM - 06:30 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, employee entrances, delivery areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter, reporting security-related hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
