Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Lakeland, FL to monitor entry points, verify access credentials, and maintain a visible, professional presence at our manufacturing and industrial locations.

You will follow site policies, perform access-control procedures, conduct routine patrols, document incidents, and work with employees, visitors, and vendors to ensure a safe, welcoming environment with strong customer service.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Age 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security procedures and access-control protocols.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, access-control protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to manufacturing and industrial facilities, including verifying credentials, processing authorized visitors, and documenting entry and exit activity.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site-specific procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and security-related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
