Job summary

Allied Universal in Ocala, FL is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer to protect clients and maintain safe access at a logistics site. You will manage entry points, verify credentials, and provide courteous, professional customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees.

Schedule is Fri and Sat 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM; pay rate is $17.00 per hour. This role emphasizes a visible presence, incident response, and adherence to site procedures in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific access control procedures and policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, manage visitor and contractor sign-in processes, and maintain accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of warehouse facilities, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter locations to identify irregular conditions and support security-related operations.
• Assist with controlling vehicle and pedestrian access to distribution areas, following established procedures for deliveries, shipments, and restricted locations.

Minimum Requirements:
