Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Ocala, FL, for a full-time role at entry points and access controls in a logistics environment. You will verify credentials, monitor access, and ensure a welcoming, professional experience for employees, visitors, and drivers.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as per laws.
• Background history considered per laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing may be required by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions only.

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or associates by carrying out security-related procedures and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify visitor and vendor credentials, maintain entry records, and control the movement of personnel and vehicles at the distribution location.
• Observe loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, trailer yards, and perimeter access points for unusual activity; report security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, warehouse areas, docks, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized access and support site operations.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

• Wed 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Thur 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Fri 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sat 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
