Job summary

Allied Universal in Orange, CA is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer (Unarmed) to protect tenants and visitors at a commercial property. You will perform access control, patrols, and respond to incidents while delivering professional customer service.

This role offers flexible weekend night shifts (Sat and Sun 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM) at $22.00 per hour, with training and opportunities to grow within a national security leader.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles (21+ for armed).
• Background check as required by law.
• Ability to pass drug screen where permitted.

Responsibilities

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a commercial real estate location, helping to maintain a secure environment for tenants, visitors, and property. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and access-control needs, and deliver exceptional customer service. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat – 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sun – 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout commercial property areas, including buildings, common areas, parking facilities, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location to help deter unauthorized entry, trespassing, and/or property-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activity in accordance with site-specific reporting procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
