Allied Universal, Ashburn, VA, is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced to provide dependable, flexible hours with fixed anchor shifts and optional additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Pay rate is $23.36 per hour with a schedule including Saturday night hours; the role supports a part-time pathway toward broader career opportunities in our security operations.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• State, county, or city-issued security-related license preferred.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity; verify credentials, maintain visitor logs, and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to site leadership.
• Communicate professionally with onsite personnel and Allied Universal leadership while completing required reports, shift logs, and incident documentation.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Badge Control Patrol in Ashburn, VA, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $23.36 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Sat 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
