Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for badge administration in WEST POINT, VA. You will manage access control, verify credentials, issue badges, and monitor entry points at an industrial site.

Build a flexible schedule through the Claim a Shift platform and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. The role requires 18+ years old (21+ for armed roles) and a high school diploma, with background checks and drug screening as standard procedures.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, contractors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying credentials, processing visitor and contractor entry, issuing access materials, and maintaining accurate entry records.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production-area perimeters, parking areas, and exterior grounds to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and communicate shift information, access concerns, and security-related observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

What You'll Do:

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
