Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Armed Security Officer in Charlotte, NC to protect clients at financial institutions and other sites. You will monitor premises, deter incidents, and respond professionally to emergencies while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include regular armed patrols, access control, incident reporting, and collaboration with site teams. A background in security or military service is preferred, with a valid Guard Card or license recommended.

As an Armed Security Officer at a financial institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to emerging situations. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $29.40 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Mon: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM


• Fri: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM


• Sun: 07:00 AM - 03:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and clients at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.


• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.


• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the facility, parking areas, access points, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.


• Monitor access to the location, verify credentials as required, and maintain awareness of persons entering and exiting restricted areas.


• Prepare accurate incident reports, activity logs, and other required documentation in accordance with site-specific procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.


• Possess at least 4 years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree.


• A Guard Card or license is preferred.


• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.


• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.


• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.


• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.


• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.


• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
