Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Armed Mobile Patrol Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL. You will provide security services at government transportation facilities, performing patrols and maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents.

As an Armed Officer, you will respond to incidents with professionalism, coordinate with authorities, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting Allied Universal’s culture of integrity and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to riders, visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry when required, and report suspicious persons, vehicles, packages, or activities according to site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and activity logs, documenting observations, patrols, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
