Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, is seeking a part-time Armed Security Officer in Jacksonville, FL. This role offers consistent weekend shifts with Saturday and Sunday schedules and a pay rate of $19.25 per hour.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Armed guard card/license preferred.
• Access control or badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials, and document visitor, contractor, and delivery activity in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site personnel and emergency responders as needed.
• Prepare accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities, and maintain readiness of assigned equipment.
