Allied Universal is seeking an armed Security Officer for part-time mobile response in Jacksonville, FL. This role supports government transportation locations, providing patrols, access control, and incident response while maintaining a visible presence.

As a part-time position with Friday and Saturday evenings, you’ll join an agile team that values integrity, customer service, and safety. A valid driver’s license and an armed guard credential are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Armed Guard Card/License preferred.
• Background check and drug screen as per law.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors and contractors while enforcing security procedures and emergency responses at transportation facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations calmly and coordinate with transportation personnel and public-service agencies.
• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas and other locations to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and screen for unauthorized entry according to site procedures and laws.
• Prepare clear reports regarding incidents, observations and patrol activities.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and appropriate emergency response activities at transportation facilities and surrounding areas.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate transportation personnel and public-service agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, vehicle staging areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and screen for unauthorized entry into restricted or controlled areas in accordance with site-specific procedures and applicable laws.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, patrol activities, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
• A Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
