Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by performing security-related procedures and emergency response as needed.

• Conduct regular armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized access per site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and patrol logs for government transportation environments.

Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Security Full Time Patrol in Jacksonville, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will support a welcoming environment through exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at transportation facilities and transit locations.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate emergency responders and transit personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, vehicles, and surrounding perimeters to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential hazards or suspicious conditions.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and report unauthorized access or policy violations in accordance with site procedures.
• Prepare accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and other required documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a government transportation environment.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Pepper spray certification is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification are preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
