Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Alarm Panel Specialist in Washington, DC to monitor sites, respond to alarms, and provide exceptional customer service. You’ll work a schedule that fits your life while contributing to a secure environment for tenants and visitors.

The role requires 2+ years of security experience, alarm panel familiarity, and strong customer service skills. A background check and drug screen are required where permitted by law.

• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age; 21+ for armed roles; high school diploma or equivalent.

• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• Driver's license required for driving positions.

What You’ll Do

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter. Working environments and conditions may vary by client site.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
