Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time security professional to support access control and safety at a logistics and distribution site in Atlanta. You’ll provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors, while ensuring that credentials and policies are followed.

Responsibilities include monitoring entry points, reporting irregular activity, and responding to incidents in a calm, solution-minded manner. This role involves regular patrols and adherence to site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen will be conducted where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and security-related incidents.

Job Schedule:

• Sat: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Sun: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct authorized individuals to designated areas.
• Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at gates and access points; help to deter unauthorized entry by reporting irregular activity according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the business perimeter, documenting observations and security-related incidents.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
