Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced at our Milford, DE site. This role offers flexible hours with anchor shifts and the opportunity to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

Qualifications

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, a background investigation may be conducted in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required per state/local laws and regulations.
• A valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions only.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site-specific security procedures and access control policies.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying credentials and logging visitors/contractors.
• Screen visitors, vendors, deliveries, and vehicles per site procedures while protecting restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies, notifying site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas and document observations of unusual activity.

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, access control policies, and emergency response activities at a food production location.
• Monitor and control entry and exit points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, issuing access credentials, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Screen visitors, vendors, deliveries, and vehicles in accordance with site procedures while helping to protect restricted production, warehouse, and administrative areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, parking areas, perimeter locations, and facility access points; document observations and report unusual activity.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
