Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by following security procedures.
• Monitor and control facility access by verifying credentials and documenting entries/exits.
• Respond calmly to incidents, alarms and emergencies and communicate with site contacts or responders.
• Conduct regular patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeters to deter incidents.
• Maintain accurate logs and incident reports and deter unauthorized access.

As an Access Control Security Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, issue badges, and maintain accurate access records. You will remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $14.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Wed: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Thur: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, managing visitor and driver entry, and documenting arrivals and departures in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by client site.
• Maintain accurate activity logs, access records, and incident reports while helping to deter unauthorized access and policy violations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
