Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Security Officer for Visitor Management in Jackson, MS. You’ll help monitor entry points, verify credentials, and deliver excellent customer service while supporting a safe environment.

This role offers flexible scheduling (DayTime, Fri/Sat/Sun nights) and opportunities to grow with our Claims a Shift platform.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background investigation required by law.
• Drug screen required by Allied Universal.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for driving positions.

Responsibilities

Pay Rate: $11.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access to aerospace and defense-related facilities, restricted areas, and controlled entry points by verifying credentials, visitor authorization, and delivery documentation.
• Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, and perimeter locations, reporting unusual activity, unauthorized access attempts, and facility concerns.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records while following applicable site procedures for sensitive operations and materials.

Minimum Requirements:

• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
