Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Temple, TX. This role offers fixed shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts via our scheduling platform.

You will perform site-specific access control at a manufacturing/industrial location, maintain logs, and respond to incidents. The position pays $17.50 per hour with potential for more hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license per policy.
• Be 18+ for unarmed roles or 21+ for armed roles.
• Must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.

As a Security Officer Part Time Access Control Driver in Temple, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

$17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule

• Wed: 10:00 PM - 06:00 AM

How This Role Works

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out site‑specific procedures, access‑control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, production‑adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report security‑related concerns.
• Maintain accurate access‑control logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
