Armorous is hiring a Security Officer for a recreation and entertainment venue. You will safeguard properties, deter crime, and ensure safety for businesses, sites, and communities, with routine tours and hourly logs.

You’ll work evenings on a 16-hour weekly shift, with a $21.00 per hour rate and a hiring bonus. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision, plus opportunities for advancement in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid BSIS Guard Card and comply with BSIS requirements.
• Completed 8-hour Initial Training and 32-hour continuing education certificates.
• Strong customer service and professional demeanor are essential.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Graveyard experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.
• Identify and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and unauthorized access.
• Maintain a visible presence to deter crime and ensure public safety.
• Respond to incidents and provide support in emergencies.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations in reports.
• Communicate security updates and concerns with supervisors and teammates.

Position/Titles

• Security Officer for Recreation and Entertainment venue

Job Description

As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for safeguarding properties, deterring criminal activity, and ensuring the safety of businesses, construction sites, and residential communities, etc. Your role requires vigilance, strong decision-making, and excellent communication skills to handle security incidents effectively. Officers are responsible for completing tours and hourly activity logs. Officers spend most of their time at one of two desks, with a lot of foot traffic, and are mainly responsible for keeping the peace.

Shifts

Sunday - - - 5 :00 PM - 1:00 AM

Monday - - - 5:00 PM - 1:00 AM

(Total of 16 Hours Per Week)

Plus opportunity for additional shifts.

Compensation

$21.00 per hour

Security Guard Responsibilities

• Conduct routine patrols to monitor and secure designated locations.

• Respond swiftly to incidents and provide support in emergency situations.
• Document daily activity, incidents, and observations accurately in reports.
• Communicate effective with supervisors and team members regarding security updates and concerns.

Security Guard Qualifications

• Valid BSIS Guard Card (required).
• Current with BSIS Compliance
• i.e: 8-Hour Initial Training Certificate
• 32-hour continuing education certificates
• Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to remain alert, responsive, and proactive in high-pressure situations.
• Graveyard experience preferred
